Civic SiR II

hi all.young modeler again. this is my 3rd kit. hasegawa Civic SiR II. EG6. got this kit on monday. this kit has some bads bout it. the "bigger pieces" of mould lines. (dont know what they are called). i had to cut them away. anyway. i've done quite alot based on my skills. lol. interior and chasis done. it's quite a simple kit so i added a few other things to it. anyway. here are the pics.

intercooler from my old AE86 kit. it's a spare part from some nismo Z-tuned R-34 or smth like that. somehow i managed to get that effect. :D

after a while, i decided to try and cut the hood out. this is my 1st time testing. i was pretty glad i didn't ruin it too much.

and since i cut out the hood, it needed an engine. so i got this from my HOT WORKS RACING die cast rx-7. just put it there since there was no engine. :uhoh:

and it should be smth like that. (the body is still in primer) i think i'll make it yellow with a black hood. :)

One suggestion for the engine..... The Revell Civic engines fit quite nicely on the Hasegawa civic oil pans. You could also take the engine bay from one of the Revell civics, mod it, and put it in there! Someone on here a while back was doing that, but I don't think I ever saw the finished product. I plan on takeling it eventually, once I get a few other projects out of the way.

You may be talking about me since Hondas are the majority of what I build. I would post the link to my webpage but it is down at the moment thanks to hackers. you can check http://www.myspace.com/vtecsyndrome to see some of :grinyes: my completed Hondas (just a few though) to get an idea of what the finished motor swap project looks like, and I agree with Energon that you should use a civic motor and engine bay as well. I know it's just a model but that rotory engine from the RX7 just won't quite flow in that little FWD civic. just my :2cents: good luck either way.
