97 Camaro - No Dash Lights or Odometer Readout

97 3.8 Camaro - I usually turn on the light switch when I drive. Just noticed my digital odometer readout goes black when I turn on the lights. I let the lights go on auto at dark and same thing - readout goes black. Also there are no guage lights. I have rotated the dimmer. Fuse? Light switch dimmer? Forever flicking a bic lighter to check guages after dark? Any guesses guys and gals? JJ

yeah, something about the dimmer switch sounds good..try check all of your fuses first..

ok, im almost100% sure its your dimmer switch.. when you turn it all the way down, it goes almost black! so..yeah. im willing to bet on that one..

btw, can you ,make your lights NOT come on auto @ dark? ive been trying to figure that out for a while..
