99 Intrigue GX Keyless Entry question...HELP!

I just got a 1999 Intrigue GX with about 60k miles. However, it did not have the keyless entry. My question is, I've heard on several different boards and from different people that the 99 GX models came with the keyless entry mechanism. I'm wondering if that is true. Is it possible to just purchase a remote and program it? I'd like to have the keyless entry, I had gotten used to it with my other cars. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

my dad has a 1999 Intrigue and does not have the keyless entry. My 2000 Intrigue does. I tried to program one of my extra transmitters to work with his doors = it would not work.

For $10 on Ebay a transmitter may be worth a try. If your car has the RPO code for keyless entry (look inside trunk) I would give it a shot.

AU0 Lock Control, Remote Entry
A90 Lock Control, Rear Compartment Lid Remote Control Electric Release

I never use the keys to open the doors or trunk. And it is nice to have.

What is an RPO code...and where in the trunk would I find it?

RPO = the options on your car.

Open the trunk. There is a sticker with the RPO codes there.
