bmw 1998 740il radio

While riding the steering wheel lifted up about 3 inches and the radio shut off and the horn stopped working. Tried to turn radio back on- nothing. Aprox 3 miles down the road radio came on by itself. After restarting car a few hours later radio went off and did not come back on. Now the problem is intermittant all the time. Any Idea???????? Please Help.

You will need a new ignition switch.
