Single Windshield Wiper?

I don't really know how to explain this.....

There is a guy who lives down my street with a 96 accord with a single APC euroblade wiper setting at about a 45 degree angle on his windshield. I know these cars had 2 wipers to start with cause my dad has one.

How do I mod my dual wipers into a single wiper?

The only thing that I have thought of is to remove the left one and then rebolt the passenger side one so that it starts already half way up the windshield so it will reach the driver side.

Is this correct? Or is there more to it?

ahh yes..the infamous "euro wiper". as for what you said, your correct, just attatch the longer of the two wiper arms onto the passenger side and set it up at an angle to where it hits the driver's side but doesnt go over the windshield on the pass. side....actually, im sure you can figure this one out on your own.... OR, if you have some spare pocket change, get the actualy mono wiper setup done, or see if you can snag one off of a mercedes and rig that one up.

Wouldn't that not be a so-good idea if it rains anything harder than a drizzle? And does it burn out the little motor quicker, having to move a single blade the length of the whole windshield? It just seems like a step backward in efficency by having just one.
Not like it would effect me since it doesn't rain worth crap here, lol

Before you do this conversion, just think ahead and make sure you will like it in the longrun. My friend did it and he thinks it's retarded now because it's annoying looking at it all the time. Before you mod, just make sure you're going to like it, rather than just modding your car for the sake of modding.

Personally I think a car looks better with no wipers. I take my wipers off in the summertime and I think it looks way cleaner. Those are some of the perks to living in California. Plus your wipers will last longer.

Why would it burn out the motor quicker, it moves one wiper as opposed to two. I did it for a while but I cant stand it after a while cause it really does not do as good of a job as two.

And why would taking your blades off be illegal?

1 WIPER = RICE CENTRAL....

mine has one wiper right now because i bought it that way, so any of you people taking you wiper i need one so i can put both mine back on where they belong. deeler wants way to much for that arm.

I never got in trouble for it yet. Infact most people do not notice unless you point it out. I put them back on in the wintertime anyways. I never heard that it was illegal anyways. I live in California I would not think that it would be illegal here. It hardly rains lol.

seriously now, i've seen cars with the one wiper in the greater seattle area, it's seattle dammit, don't they know it pours every other day here? they should all go back to cali. ricers are not welcome here.
