wanting to turbo this b18c5 i'm about to get to get 500 hspr. is it possible ? turboing it, or is the compression too high >? what other engine would do the job ? going to turbo and nitrous witha full internall rebuild. heard that an h22 would have handling problems after the swap /. could use the help before i buy this motor.

i personally feel that the B18C5 has too high of compression for a high boost application. that motor costs upwards of $4500 (complete swap)..and you'll have to change out the pistons, rods, etc.. for lower compression 9 or 8.5 to 1 for high boost. A built LS motor (B18B-94+integra) motor will be cheaper and a very good performer. that gets my vote. H23 prelude si (92-96) would be sweet for boost...but would cost a lot to get it too fit. just my $0.02 tho

dude, if you wanna boost but don't want to spend too much just get a: B16-high revving and safe for 6-7lbs stock with little tuning
B18c1-not so high revving but more power up to 9 lbs stock with little tunning
B18a/b-no high revving but able to run more boost due to lower compression.

IMO the B18c5 was built by honda to be in cars that are N/A. true too is that once you get that that turbo it, you'll have a lot more problems with it than you would with a lower compression motor.
