I'm building a rolling chassie. I haven't yet decided for what car body. I may use an older 60's-70's fiberglass body. Not sure. I might even go with a truck cab and bed? What I have is an '80's 4X4 S-10 Blazer frame for the FWD set up, an Oldsmobile Bravado AWD transfer case, an LT1 block with the intake manifold backwards to accept twin turbos blowing in from the rear. The headers will bew mounted up-side-down L for R so they sit high in the back of the hood and get air in through th hood throught K&N cones, 1 on each side. The intercooler will be mounted in the cowl hood. I want to put a Dana 44 independent rear outta a Vette. I want posi, 4.11 gears, and discs breaks. What year/ modle, etc... do I need to look for for this rear end. I have allready reaplaceed the front torsion bar set up with coil-over front shocks and will do the same to the rear and lose the mono leaf. If everything goes well I may replace all 4 coil-overs with Air Jacker bag / shock combos so it will lay frame to pavemnet with the bags dumped and sit pretty nice when there full. This frame and drive train may end up under my '74 Omega, or it may end up under a fiberglass or carbon fiber IROC-Z body, I'm not sure yet. I can always extend the frame and drive axle to fit under what ever I decide. The width of the wheel base will decide on the offset of the rims. It is an excelent frame for any build up. I just need the 4.11 independent rear to go with my 3.73 front end. Where do I look?
