Make An Engine Swap Faq....

has anyone else noticed that this board is getting cluttered up with posts like this:

uh, hi, im a noobie and i just bought a honda. what engine swap can i do?

or

Hi, i bought a 89 hatch and i was thiking of putting either a h22 or b16 or b18b or d16z6 in it. how much does they cost??

please would one of the board admins make a FAQ post so we dont have a million "which b series engine will fit in my civic" posts.....

there is an engine section at the site. IMO, it's pretty weak. i'm going to add links to more swap info sites under each engine along with up to date engine sources. i'm also going to leave a list of parts needed for each swap. that way people have a better idea of what swap they might want without going through all the links.

the how-to section is being upgraded as well. i started it but need time to finish it. all my time is going into b-day this sunday and the car show next sat. after that i'll get back to work on the site.

in the meantime, if anyone has a link to a great engine source or excellent swap info (for any engine you can possibly swap into a 4th gen) please SEND IT! e-mail me at: [email protected]

if i had a digicam, id do a write up on my b20-hatch swap im doing next week :(

I can probably come up with some scans of the Helms manual for the pages on engine removal and stuff... as well as any other pertinent sections in PDF form.

that would be the SHYT! i want to get info in the maintenance section like: changing oil, change tranny fluid (yes, it gets asked :) ), change brakes (and/or other suspension like struts), and changing spark plugs. i get asked how to do that stuff all the time.

any of that info you want to contribute (along with engine removal, if offer still stands) would help DRAMATICALLY! i am well aware of the sudden demand for info...but, i'm also hella busy for the next week or 2.
