the engine that's in an 01 eclipse is the 4g64 correct??? I've been searching, but i just can't get a plain answer.... is that the right engine or not?? and is there a 6 speed tranny available?? so far, i'm planning on replacing my pistons, rings, rods, valve springs, and crank....and ultimately, a turbo...what other engine mods would be necessary?
i know an intake, exhaust, and high flow cat are necessary as well

yes it is a 4g64
with money ANYTHING is possible. but there is no direct replacement 6 speed transmission and you do not need one.
just turbocharge it and go from there. you can figure out what breaks first needs to be replaced. no sense in building a motor and not having any boost to go on it. the 4g64 holds boost just fine and even better than the 6g72 can.

Please stop making these posts, they hurt my head. Please do some research before you ask questions, especially questions upon questions that are about the same topic.

That's debatable.

the 3g eclipse 6g72, yes.
the 3si 6g72... well honestly i don't know, but it isn't quite the same motor.
