:uhoh: Can you use Rustoleum paint on plastic and vinyl interior pieces? My girlfriend drives a metallic navy blue Sunfire so obviously i'm not gonna find specific color matching Krylon Fusion or interior paint that color. But I was in Walmart the other day and I saw Rustoleum that was a pretty damn close match. So any ideas?

I used it for my gauge bezel. The inside of the cluster there. It was really smooth when compared to the rest of the car... aside from that, it took a little while longer to dry, but looks good. Take a look for yourself. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a386/Derk_eliso/DSC00414.jpg

I looked on there website and they make paint specifically for viynl and plastic so I dont see why it would work. Here is a couple links, first is for the viynl they show it used for seats but I would think you could use it on anything viynl right? and second is for the plastic which they show on a plastic chair so I would think you could use it on anything plastic. And they also make a plastic primer as well :)

Yeah but they don't have the color I need, I'll have to go back and see what specific type of paint it was to be more exact with my question.

you can use rustoleum but make sure it is not a light color, it does not clean up very well

Well I emailed Rustoleum last night and they sent me an email this morning saying....
''Thank you for contacting Rust-Oleum. You are correct if you use our Plastic Primer first you can top coat with ANY Rust-Oleum product. I would recommend the Plastic Primer, it can be used on plastic or vinyl, followed by our Cobalt Blue Metallic. It is a beautiful color than many customers use on their cars, motorcycles & lots of other things.''
They said to use this plastic primer http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp?frm_product_id=341&SBL=1
and then use this paint http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp?frm_product_id=22&SBL=1 (the cobalt metallic blue color)
