1998 Buick Regal Trac Lite noise when stop

I have a 1998 Buick regal 3.8 Auto with 85000 miles. It started making a clicking/grinding noise when coming to a stop, also the trac lite comes on. When you come to a complete stop everything goes back to normal.Don't do it all the time. I checked the brakes and changed them front/rear still having problem. Thanks for any help!!!

Can you feel anything on brake pedal?
You need to get a scanner on it and check engine/transmission/and ABS system for codes.
Post back codes.
Have you checked brake pads and wheel bearings?
Any noise at higher speeds?

Thanks for the hello!! I have checked codes on engine does not give any. Does this car have a another computer for the transmission?I have rebuit the brakes front and rear. Yes you can feel the clicking/grinding in the brake pedal. The car does not have problems unless you are coming to a slow stop if you are stopping at a higher speed does not do it.

The powertrain control module (PCM) controls the engine and transmission. There is an electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM) under the dash that controls and monitors the ABS, traction control and low tire systems.

It sure sounds like you have a bad hub/bearing which contains the wheel sensor used by ABS and traction control. Have you determined whether the noise is coming from the driver's or passenger side?

Can't tell which side. If i turn off trac control will this tell me anything helpfull? I jacked up car and checked the wheels by checking for movement or play in hubs.

As MT2500 mentioned you will need a ABS capable scanner like a GM Tech II or Snap On MT2500 to see which hub is bad since there are a total of 4. A good scanner will tell by monitoring the wheel speed to see if in specs. If you are DIY capable with a digital mulitmeter in AC volts check the voltage out of the hub connector. Nothing less than 100 millivolts while spinning wheel by hand. Also, you can ohm out the wheel sensor. Look for resistance of around 800 - 1200 ohms with 1K ohm being typical.
