Ok I really dont know that much about steroe systems and well my truck it has a nice face plate and MXS speakers but the problem is my truck its running on glass packs almost sounds like straight pipes and well i have to have my volume up quite a bit so i can hear it but when i actually want to hear it to were its loud it cuts out and the lights and face plate fade out when the bass hits and i tried using my friends speakers and does the same thing :banghead: any thing i should do?

do you have external amps ... like for the bass. If you do, you probably need a bigger alternator.

:1: make sure you have sufficient power, and sounds like you need a new alternator.

sounds like you have some electrical issues ......

try adding 0 guage wire to the big 3. if your problem continues, maybe you have a bad alternator? My civic has a 70ampere alt, and though that's weak, my lights are fine. i'm gonna doubt that you have a several thousand dollar competition system that would use that much power, so something's F'ed with your electricals.
