Name that benz/bimmer

Hey regulars! I got bored of arguing in the S7 thread and I needed your help. I once looked at a used car, less than 20k and it was either a bimmer or a mercedes-benz with a V12 and retractable headlights. Which models of both makes exist like this? I mean ALL of them that fit the bill. Then again, how many of these do you see with pop-ups?

Didn't the only 6 series have a V12 too? I could be mistaken.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the 6 series never had a V12. You could always try a 750Li (old bodystyle, the 740 body) or an old S600. Or even a 600SEC, bascially the old CL. Its a handsome coupe too.

Yeah I guess not, I saw a 8 series before and mistaken it for a 6. The car I saw did have a 12.

840is had V8s. 850is and 850csis had V12s.
