Superchips

Is there a superchip made for a 2002 Grand Prix?
I can't seem to find one.

Digital Horsepower, Intense, ZZP, and Overkill all offer customized PCMs as well...

you can get a reprogrammed PCM through ZZP for $79, DHP and Intense's are both $99, and i'm not sure on the overkill...

I went with the DHP simply because when I got it, ZZP was just starting to get in the game and I simply went with DHP because of all of the positive feedback on it, and at the time ZZP's was $99 as well...

i wanna why chips like the Superchip, Hypertech, and Jet added horsepower to the vehicle it was for but gettting a programed PCM for our cars doesnt produce any HP? cause i was told it would create maybe 2 horsepower with the programing but it was mainly for re-tuning for shifts and that.

How do you like your after factory pully? Does it really make a difference you can feel.
And also what about the K&N kit?
I'm just trying to find ways to increase my HP.

first off "superchips" do the same thing as reprogramming the PCM... they may "claim" a certain hp increase but you will see no more from a "superchip" on say a LS1 Camaro than you will with a Hp tuners, in fact you will see LESS...

The smaller pulley is USELESS if you don't have the mods to support it, throwing it on a stock GTP will cause a lot of knock retard and will in the end make you SLOWER(due to the increase in timing in a fight to reduce the knock) and you can severly damage your engine... You want the basic bolt-ons firtst(cold air intake, 3" downpipe, 180 degree thermostat, colder plugs) and then you should be safe to use a 3.4" on the L67('97-'03 gtps) or a 3.5" on a L32('04 gtp and up)... Also the reprogrammed PCM made the biggest difference next to the s/c pulley, the difference is you can put a reprogrammed PCM on a stock GTP and notice a difference...

all those together working together seems to make GT mustang owners angry...

Wow, this would explain what happend to my 97 grand prix. I did put an after factory 3.5" pully on it and after some time the super charger started to knock.

What about the K&N kit. Did that do anything for you?
So what you're saying is that, just putting a high perfomance chip in the vehical won't do a whole lot to noticably increase the hp.

no the supercharger "knocking" is not the same thing, that is a supercharger in need of maintenance...

you won't feel or hear knock retard, it has to do with the timing in the engine...
