2001 eclipse 4cyl motor swap

what's the most powerful/ most hp/cost efficient motor swap for my 01 eclipse which is currently a 4cylinder gs??and i'm keeping an open mind, i'm actually wanting to put a 6 cyl. in...is the eclipse v6 a strong possibility?

Well, are you planning on keeping it NA or are you wanting to put a turbo kit on it? If you are going NA, an RSX-S or Honda Vtec from a Civic SI make really good numbers for a 4 banger. Not sure how strong they are for boost. If you want to boost the 4g63 from the 1-2g eclipses are strong for boosting (im sure other people will post with more info). Im a GT guy so I dont know a whole lot about 4bangers.
