i cant shift?

has anyone had problems with hitting the reverse shift gate while trying to hit 2nd at high rpm's? and has anyone istalled the trd shiffter?i was wondering if it would help.
and i have an OBX shiffter allready and it sucks!!so dont buy it!:confused:
