Thanks for the info on my tranny leak....My oil pressure gauge isnt working anymore, is there a fuse or something for that? It worked one day and the next it just stopped...I checked it and I have plenty of oil...Second question my ECS button doesnt work, never has. In the bottom left hand corner of my instrument panel tour/sport will light up sometimes at the same time, or just tour and/or sport, but they never stay on, just blink, most of the time, neither one come up and stay on. All of that happens without me hitting the button. If I hit the button noting happens. I know it controls your ride suspension, but it never changes...How do you fix that? someone at the dealership said all they know what to do is put new struts on the front? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

as for the ECS, do a search. i can't specifically tell you what's wrong (i don't have a VR4), but it can be related to the ECS computer. that's funny that the dealership told you just to replace the front struts....haha, what a bunch of morons.
see? just b/c they are a dealership, doesn't mean they know our cars whatsoever.

im no rocket scientist, nor an ecs scientist, but it could be as simple as... the struts went bad, and someone replaced them with the non ecs ones you can get off 3sxperformance.com because they were cheaper..??

I tried to find hte link, but I can't, regardless, do a search for 'ECS'. The 2 most common problems are damage to wires/ecs module. The module is in the trunk, on the passenger side, just remove the paneling and you should find it pretty easily. Check to make sure the plugs are plugged in securely. You could also remove it and see if it has any burn damage on the board.
Also pull the dust covers off the top of your strut towers and check to make sure the wiring up there is connected and undamaged.
Lastly remember if you have aftermarket struts, some simply wont work with ECS, so perhaps the last owners swapped them.

Thanks for the info...My aunt bought the car new, and I got it from her.. I called her, she said everything was factory and it worked with her.. Until the last month before she sold it to me. The exhaust button works, but i think it gets stuck.. I checked the wires on the dust cover they are not broke and are connected. I founf the panel in the trunk, but not really sure what im looking for. Everything is connected back there?
