Open your doors, you may need to remove your fenders I can't remember, find the nuts for the hinges, remove the nuts while supporting the door (use a jack with a pad or something so you dont scuff up yuor door), remove the hinges from the frame, replace, follow through in reverse. by the way, why do you need to replace the hinges? :screwy:

hey.. well from what i see i dont need to remove the fenders... I can see the nuts pretty well.. Maybe i might need a special key tho.. Well the reason i wanna change them is because they have a litlle play(up & down).. both bottom ones... so before it gets any worse, ill need to change them.. dont you think.. I bought them.. :)

Judging by how my hinges were on my 96, they seem like pretty solid and sturdy hinges, i think on your 02 they're just loose or something, I can't think of any other way they'd give you play. And the only thing I used to get mine off was a ratchet and socket. Metric of course.

If i were you i would take the fender off just so u have better access to the door, and i would leave the door locked and on the car so when you put the new hinges on it doesnt mess up the placement of the door when u close it...

i dont understand when you say the my bolts are loose.. How can that be ?? also my doors are 56"long.. so the hinges take some good stress there..

Loose, like maybe you just have to tighten them again, I can't imagine how a solid steel hinge can wear out to give your door play, like I said I have a 1996 cavalier that I put lambos on and those stock hinges are SOLID, hell they're more sturdy then my lambos were. Actually, now that I think about it...the way the hinges are made I don't think it's possible to give your door play.

im telling ya my doors have play and, they both have the same play..unless its normall for 2002 to have a little play... mind you the hinges were never greased.. and, well iv reached about 49000kms... can it be that its normall they have a small play like that.. of about an 8th of an inch..
the play is 8th" up and, down

:disappoin it's really NOT that hard, it took 2 people to remove my stock doors and put LAMBO hinges on them and then put the doors back on.

I know, but my point was that lambo hinges are HARD AS HELL to install and 2 of my buddies did it with only a small amount of experience. So if they can do that you and a friend or 2 could definitly tighten your hinges or replace them, I'm telling you don't waste the money going to a shop or the DEALER?! Big no-no :nono: You can do this yourself and save alot of loot.

ok well I did kinda tighten them.. drivers side where loose.. but, the play is still there... its really the hinge.. the two pins look loose, the bottom ones..its really funny to believe cuz the rest of the car is just like new... It looks like it never went out.. What could of cuased the hinges to wear out like that ??.. like I said also they were never greased..

lol Exactly, I have NO idea what could've caused this. The only thing I can think of is maybe a kid/s were hanging on them? I don't think you should ever have to grease up your hinges unless they start to squeak or maybe noises tho. :dunno:

i was told that because the doors are long and, its true that the doors are like never ending..lol and, when i got the car back in Aug, yes the doors were squeaking a little... so i cleared that up by lubricating the hinges..but , the play is there.... :banghead:

To replace the door hinges you are going to need to remove the doors, hood, fenders and side skirts if applicable.
Then its simply plug and play. Hardest part is realigning and its not really that hard, if you even have to do it with stock hinges.
