I have a 1993 LeSabre Custom, the horn is very hard to operate, you really have to hit it hard in order to operate sometimes it takes a few punches to come on. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Could be dirty connection contacts switches in the steering wheel.
Then it goes through a slip ring connection to maintain electrical contact while the steering wheel turns.

(I have a dirty horn slip ring.. works better during turns.)

From there its a direct connection the the Horn relay in the BCM Body control module then continues to the horns

That area of course has the explosive airbag.
Take precautions.
Follow safety requirements.

Good Luck

I hate the horn controls on the early 90 models, they're AWFUL, as the actual buttons are known for breaking and they do not push down on the contacts like they should. I removed they plastic horn buttons completely, soldered in a new push-button switch , then jb welded the original horn buttons on top of the new switches. A creative fix that a lot of people say sounds "ghetto" but hey, my horns always work now and it's really not noticable that I ever rigged the horn buttons up!
