Looked at a 98 today and the tranny sometimes shifts a little hard into overdrive. I think the car has set for a couple months. It has 120k on it....That's the only problem I noticed. Does the 98 have any overdrive problems?????
Thanks,
Rob

I was driving it on the interstate about 70 mph in drive and then hitting the button on the stick to put it in overdrive. Not running it hard just going through the motions. It doesn't seem to do it if I just leave it in overdrive all the time. At least it didn't while I test drove it about 20 miles.
Thanks,
Rob

so you want an auto? not a manual?

just fyi, i'm pretty sure the auto only came on the base models, if so, you have a SOHC motor. very slow.

you might be aware of that and you might indeed want a manual, but to me it just sounds like you want a 3000GT so bad that you'll take whatever you can find. if i'm wrong, let me know. i just wanted to tell you that there's always another great deal around the corner, so don't jump at the first car you find. and make sure the car has low miles and has been taken care of...you'll be much happier down the road when you don't have to spend $1000 on parts/labor for routine maintenance.

id stay away from an auto. ive had nothin but problems with mine since ive had it. unless ur gonna drive like a grandma all the time it wont matter. but if u want pickup the atx doenst have any until u hit 40 or so.
