does any one know where the starter is located? any difficutly??
fresh battery in, clicks once when trying to crank. wait 30sec. with accessories on then it cranks and fires.

A clicking starter is a common problem with Toyota starters. Many times, the problem is sticking starter solenoid contacts. See the following links for descriptions on how to replace them. This is a really cheap and easy fix once you get the starter out and should be the first thing you try after you check all the cable connections and the battery quality.

Did you check the factory service manual links at the top of this sub-forum for location of the starter?

I have a rebuilt starter from my 89 V6. Not sure what yr you have or where your at??
But yea, I mine did that intemittent thing for awhile before it went out completely.
Mine was on the pass. side needed a loooong extention to get to it. Pain to get out if I remember right.
