Usually the track/cable on the problem side is disengaged or out of synch with the the other side, these are usually not a "dyer" type job.

Yea, I know exactly how annoying the sunroof can be, only i solved my problem, I don't have a sunroof anymore, lol. It would not close and it was raining my car was getting soaked inside so being the soft and gentle woman i am i ripped it completely off and just laid it back in there thinking, well, this is going to be expensive to fix but repairing all the electrical will be worse, only problem is that i did not secure it, guess what, i got on the freeway, uh huh, bye bye. I am so thankfull it was late and no one was behind me, so now i have a ducked taped black plexi in it's place, my poor baby. Yes only a woman would do this, i can laugh at myself though.

hmm, problem solved...
I saw mine at the dealership all torn apart and would not be afraid to take it on. If you were to buy a used one, which I priced at $100-$250 ($250 got me a real clean one), it came with a motor, track and glass. It would then be up to you to take down the headliner and door/interior moldings and grab handles. If the dealership can break most of the plastic snaps on the A pillars, I'm sure that you, I and everyone else can at least do that.
