heater howling

hey guys, my heater with manual controlls in a 2000 silvy has started howling but still blows air? Bad baring? What do you think? Is the blower fan hard to change in these nbs trucks? Anybody do this already, and have some sudjestions? Lastly does anybody know whare i might find a new motor cheap?...jj

My 2001 z71 did that too. It would only do it when it was really cold. I would turn mine off for a few seconds, and then back on and that usually worked. I traded that one off, so I don't know if it will be a long term problem.

You can buy new motors at the parts store or go to a junk yard. If you go to a yard it should be easier to get to or watch the parts puller take it off. Always price a new motor first so you know if the yard is trying to take advantage of you. A 1/4 in socket set is all you should need.
