Im having trouble with my grand am. I recently just had a few other repairs done but nothing to major just new brake pads ect. nothing with the engine. today I went to go start up my car and it sounded like it wanted to turn over but it didnt. I hear a noise like something eletrical wanted to be started a small machine sound to the right of me. Then I saw on here you can try the security lockup trick. I left the key in it for 10 mins and after i tried to start it after this it woulndt turn over or even start. You would just hear beeping and something making a sputter noise or a small pop over and over if you try to keep turing the key. I need some help, I have no idea what to do

whaat year and engine is in your GA?
I would say its your battery or its connections are not good.
the battery should be around 12-13.4volts.

try cleaning the connections, make sure they are tight.
Test the battery with a multimeter.
If its not got any juice, it'll need replaced.
Winters on its way :D
