last night i went to an automatic carwash place and i got what looks like swirls marks ( not like clear coat ones) and i was wondering if i could get the owner to pay for it.

Swirls happen when you use automatics and the owner probably won't pay to have them removed. A good detail shop should be able to remove them for $100-$150. Don't use automatic carwashes again.

that just proves the old adage that "if you want it done right, do it yourself." never NEVER use carwashes with the old style huge rollers with rags on them that slap against your car. there is dirt from other users and it will scratch your car all to hell. if you must have it washed, use a touchless one that just uses jets of water, though these suck as well because they leave streaks down the side of your car that they didnt clean as well.

Most carwashes have signs that say they aren't responsible for any damage done to your car in such situations. Chalk it up as a life lesson, and never take a car you like through a carwash again.
