Car problems

Ok guys, i bought a 92 eclipse for 100.00 bucks an it dident run. They told me it needed a ecu an a distributor. I now got both of them an put them in. the car started an runs but its running weak. Now could it be cuz of the distributor not be timed right ? Its been sitting for a while a long while. i was just wondering if that any thing to do with it.
