I have a 1995 Camaro Z28.....And I have noticed and other people have told me that when I accelerate hard, black smoke comes from the tailpipes....I know this means I'm running rich, but my question is if that is the only problem and how do I fix this?

please help.......
thanks....

If it's only when you accelerate hard, I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if you have no service engine soon light.

This is sorta a different question but the same basicly so ill just ask it here.. what exactly does it mean if a light blueish color smoke is comming out during idle and things like that.. i already know the guy that had it before me had it filled up with a tank of really shitty gas, and im still working on getting through that, could it be that?

Blue smoke is a indicator of burning oil.

I would guess that the easiest way to fix the black smoke problem is to check the O2 sensors, they may be bad. Other than that make sure the engine is getting enough air from the in take and maybe give it a tune up. :2cents:
