1993 B2600 engine swap with 1987 B2000?

I have a 1993 B2600i engine that is shot with a 5spd manual tranny. My buddy and I picked up a 1987 B2000 that runs great and we want to swap the engine and tranny. Is this too far fetched? I know the wiring harness and everything on the passenger fenderwell as well as the computer has to be swapped too. The engine and tranny mounting doesn't look like a problem as far I as I can see. Also, will the electronic fuel pump work with this swap if I eliminate the mechanical pump yet leave the carb as it is? Thanks.

the electric fuel pump will more than likely not work, too much pressure. You might be able to make it work if you install a pressure regulator inline. Just curious, what happened to the 2600 motor?
