I have a 2002 Grand Am Sedan. My drivers side windows is stuck in the closed (up) position. How can I fix? Also, i notice my other windows move up and down a bit slower now. Help please! Thank you!

Welcome to AF!!

The window that is stuck probably has a loose wire or the motor has gone bad. You will need to remove the door panel to check it out. Also you may have a problem with the switch not sending current to the motor so check that as well. As for the windows going down slowly, remove the door panels and lubricate the channels that the track runs up and down in. Sometimes they get crud in them and will not work smoothly. Lithium grease will do the job. Be careful in removing the door panels though as you will need the proper tool.

If you find the motor is bad look for a wrecking yard or search e-bay. They are too expensive to purchase new.

I had the same problem... I found if i punched my door hard enough it moves. I had to buy a new motor before (that's twice as fast as the motors for my other windows, which isn't really a bad thing...), and that didn't fix it. I think it was a loose wire though, or maybe I knocked it back into place during my last car audio expedition.

Moral: Check the wires first :D
