My 1996 Grand Caravan 3.3Liter,recently died.It would be hard to start, then run fine, go about 1/2 mile and die...Now it cranks but will not start,The key on-off test is giving me code 24, TPS error.(I dont want to toss away $80 on a sensor if there is another problem causing the error code) .

Just before this happened I noticed a sound coming from under the passanger side dash, (behind the glovebox) it sounds like a pump motor cycling on and off very fast ..Its not the fuel pump (I know that sound)..it almost sounds like an AC vacuum pump..Can it be related to my starting problem??

The main computer was changed a few months ago...along with plugs, wires,AC fan relay and so on

Also I noticed the fuel rail is leaking and I know it is under recall, Is there a cut off switch somewhere that shuts the van off if the fuel pressure drops due to a leak? can it be by passed long enough to get it to the dealer?

We spent over 2 grand on this van in the last year and its still UN-reliable...its a shame, I do like the van but cant keep her on life support any longer.. This might be my last Dodge product
