First, this is the wrong forum to post this thread. Second, I'm pretty sure this question has already been asked before...research threads before posting please. Third, it's always a good idea to have a set of wrenches, not just one or two. You can get a fairly inexpensive metric set at any auto parts store or Wal-Mart. Some of the better sets can be found at Sears, such as Craftsman. If you break a Craftsman tool, you simply take it back to the store and they give you a new replacement on the spot. No receipt required. Oh, they also sell Craftsman tools at K-Mart now, since Sears also owns K-Mart. So to answer your question, I don't know what size wrench you need for the oil plug in a Kia Sephia. But if you have a wrench set, you won't have to worry about it or post questions like this on Automotive Forums.

Yes, it is an auto question. An auto question about a Kia Sephia, yet this is the Kia Spectra forum. So if you don't know how to post threads in the correct forums, perhaps you should be the one "taking a hike." Who even says that anymore? If you don't want an honest answer, don't ask any questions.

Both of you relax, or you'll get a vacation.
titantn24, way to go off on someone that asked for help.
rvg0207, way to get bent out of shape. And the "blow me" can earn you a ban so watch it.
You're both a bit out of line, so clean it up.
Now to the question. If you have the room to work with it(and virtually every car does, once you figure out the angles), I'd suggest the adjustable strap type oil filter wrench; it will fit a bunch of different oil filter sizes, and has advantages over a "wrench" that fits over the end of the filter. Over the years I've tried the wrenches, and they end up slipping. By far, the strap type tool (found at almost any auto parts store, Sears, or other tool maker) is superior IMO.

Oil plug is the same thing as an oil filter?

Just bought a 2007 Spectra EX and she's a honey. Automatic with power everything but ABS brakes and cruise. Have to find someone to installl a crusie. The manual says stick with 5W-20 engine oil unless you live in a REAL cold climate 0W-20. I live in the deep South where it gets 100F daytime and always used 5W-20 same as cop cars. I know it looks thin as water, but it gives better mileage plus gets in all the tiny cracks and crevaces better than thicker oil.
Brake fluid is the same Dot 3 we've always used and thinking about refilling the reservior with full synthetic fluid. Tranny fluid I'm not so sure if our American fluid will do so will ask the KIA service dept. Power steering fluid the same, read the specs but never saw them before so better be safe that sorry. I would like to have all synthetic fluids in it.
