Tim Tams are the best chocolate biscuits available.
Vegemite is great, but use it SPARINGLY. Do NOT slather it on, just use a small amount with generous amount of butter on hot toast. :)
Look up a thread by Jinushaun on Vegemite if you want a laugh.

well the thing is apparently loaded with vitamin B, so atleast its really healthy. Reading Jinushuan's thread, i'm even more afraid to try it now, but even more curious... i'll have a go before classes tomorrow.

so i tried some vegemite today on buttered white toast with some tea...
not bad... but not really that good either. i'm indifferent on it, but like Jinushaun, I've got an entire fucking jar of this stuff, and spreading it "sparingly" on toast will last me more than a year or so, if i eat it everyday. Also, the stuff smells like day-old skunked malt liquor...reminds me of freshman year in college.

1) We start with Indian brewed tea:

2) We toast 2 white bread slices in the Black & Decker Toast-R-Oven Plus
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d164/vinnym86/10-03-06_1956.jpg
3) Spread a good helping of butter on half side of toast
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d164/vinnym86/10-03-06_2002.jpg
4) Spread a small amount of Vegemite on the other half of toast. (The amount shown on butterknife is half the amount used on the toast)
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d164/vinnym86/10-03-06_2003.jpg
5) Fold toast in half for optimal dippage capabilities
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d164/vinnym86/10-03-06_2004.jpg
So this time, I actually tasted the vegemite stuff more, maybe i put more than i did this morning, and i definitely didn't like it. I tried not dipping it in the tea, and it tasted worse...

Toast should be a bit darker and use just slightly less vegemite than you did there. And dipping it in tea....that's new to me.

i've always dipped buttered toast in tea... i think its just the way my gramma brought me up. works well with whole milk, too, when you don't butter it up... not chocolate milk, though.
i'll try with even less next time. somehow i feel determined to find Vegemite appetizing.

Crikey! (sorry)
Vegemite is very strong tasting, you don't need much to get some flavor.
Of course I used way too much, spread it like jelly and that was a tough sandwich to eat.

No Aussie food to be had. But the beer was fine.
