Intermittent Starting

I have a '95 Ranger 6-cylinder that occasionally will not start. It cranks fine, but it almost seems like there's an airlock in the system. If I let it sit for 45 minutes of so, it usually starts right up. It runs fine once it starts. I've replaced the in-tank fuel pump and the fuel filter, but that hasn't helped. Pretty frustratin'!! :screwy:

First determine if its fuel or no spark. If you have a 12v test light install the tip on the coil neg. Crank the engine if the light blinks I would take the module to advanced and get it tested. I have my own tester and I heat them up with a heat gun like a hair dryer. They normally fail when hot and work when cold.
If the light doesn't blink the pickup in the distributor is bad.
If its a fuel problem I would check the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum hose and check for leaks. You need a gauge to check it properly.
A loose fuel pump ground wire will cause this. Check right kick panel,and left front of engine comp near radiator. Computer grounds fuel pump left kick panel.
