Should I sell it all off?

I'm pretty much getting sick of the Talon project here guys... Do you think I should just sell it and the Firebird off and get a new car thats gonna be more reliable than these things? By the strangest odds of the entire planet I came across an ad for the original Trans Am I looked at for my first car. It is still absolutly in mint condition with 35k original miles on it... its a 90 and spooooootless. I would make love to it. Its never seen snow or rain and I can pick it up for real cheap if I trade him my Firebird too. Of course then I would turn around and buy some cheap ass 500 dollar winter beater but I have dream't of this car forever. Unless you guys can give me some good motivation for getting the Talon done I think I might consider parting ways with it... Not 100% sure yet though... Lemme hear some thoughts.

You get what you want. It's all your choices. If that's what you really want, then get it. Shit, I would love to have a firebird like that. Sounds sweet. Go for it. But what about all the shit you bought for the Talon?

Well, I love both the Talon and the Firebird but I'm just not sure what I should go with on this one cause a lot has been going on lately... Ultimately all the parts and everything would go with the Talon as I would like to see it finished by somebody else if I were to get rid of it...
Damn, don't ya just love how sometimes life kicks ya in the face. :bricks1:

Ooh man, tough call. I bet I know which one would win in a race though. I dont know man seems like you've got a lot of parts, I would just do the build unless you really dont want to do it.

I would personally just keep the Talon and continue to build a monster.
I'm waiting for Edmunds response, I'm sure it'll be interesting lol

I'd love to see you finish the talon. And I'm sure that if you continue to build it that when you get done with it, you'll be glad you kept it. But if not I would be happy to take some parts off your hands. :grinyes:

I would suggest not selling the talon. With all the money you've stuffed into it, you might as well just keep it now. And if you're getting sick of the car, just take a few months off from it. I was to the point where I was 99% sure I was going to sell all of my DSMS and just be done with everything, but I took a break and now I love working on them more than before. It's just a hobby man, you have fun with it, it gets old, take a break, and then you love it again. It's an ongoing cycle.
My point being, don't sell the Talon, you'll be wishing you hadn't the day it leaves your responsibility.

I think you should take a break from the car. Buy a beater by selling some of the not so important stuff to me (you FMIC, SAFC2, radiator fans).
I have noticed that our cars like to break. Compared to my moms, siters and dads car, mine is 50% of the time broken down. I am fixing shit as fast as I can but sometimes it just pisses me off. So what do i do, I just bought back my old Daily driver. I will post pics of it. I get about 3 days of driving for $10. The eclipse eats $10 in 10 minutes ;). Its really up to you, I got fed up with the GSX and I kinda broke the front bumper.

Yeah man, breaks are good. I took one from my Talon and now all I want to do is work on it.

Break it is then... Now I just gotta get that damn brake line fixed on the Firebird and hopefully shit will run without breaking for a while again... :banghead:

It's all up to you, of course. For me, it was a multitude of factors, from peace of mind to finances at the moment, so I acted on it. Take time to outline your priorities and then decide once and go through with it. But a break does sound good.
But one thing's for sure...don't go through the time and effort to install all those parts, use them for a little bit, and then decide to sell the car soon after. That way, you wouldve lost all the time you put in, plus now you have a bunch of used parts (if ineed they were new when you purchased them in the first place). Mitsubishi depreciates faster than almost any other make in the US market today, so you can always pick up another DSM for peanuts later on.
Just my 2 cents.

Ok, I think I am better now guys... I think I was just getting frustrated with the Firebird and taking it out on both cars... The stupid ass brake line kept leaking at the point of the new line meeting the old line... I finally got it after I broke the flaring tool. lol I snapped the rivit right out of the thing cranking it down on the line and my leg came straight up and I booted the door pretty good. I was able to fix it thought with a nut and bolt. hehe... Anyways, now the Firebird is in good running shape again and it makes me a lot happier so now I'm not frustrated with the Talon either. lol
Good times...
Oh yeah... I even made this sweet new intake for the Firebird. The filter is pretty much right off the TB now. lol I'll have to get a picture of it tomorrow... Next is the exhaust to be un-gayafied and next week or the week after my machine work is getting done on the Talon motor and it'll be together fairly quick then... I'm quite excited. lol Hopefully be on the road within a month or so.

Yeah I am glad you are keeping it man...I really want to see how the finished product runs because you have about the same set up that I am hoping to have when I finish.....
