My 94 rodeo has jumped time

help please I need to the timming settings for my 94 rodeo with the V-6.
It jumped time and I dont want to have to by the book just to get the timing settings

is it overhead cams? Mine is a 3.2 ltr v6 with SOHC(SINGLE OVERHEAD CAM, ACTUALLY 2 CAMS, 1 PER HEAD), If it jumped time like mine did, you have to go in and take off the timing belt (has it ever been changed?), check the tensioner(hydraulic, taken off to remove belt) and the idler pulley to see if they are functioning properly, as well as the Crankshaft Position Sensor, recommended to be changed when belt is changed, then realign the cams and the crankshaft to the marks on them, make sure you get the crank shaft at the right stroke to where #1 cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke, remember 2 crank rotations to each 1 cam rotation. The timing is in the computer. if you take it in to have the timing set as they put it, everything realigned, as i put it, it is quite costly and they may not fix anything as they didn't in my case and charged me out the you know what. If you take it to have the timing set, and are going to pay that much I recommend you have them change all of the above mentioned items as well at that time. Good luck...

the timing belt is very easy to replace on these engines I can do it in under an hour its next to impossible to mess it up yet there are some who do your new belt should have lines on them those lines are meant to be lined up with timing marks on the cam's and crank pulleys (DO NOT REPLACE YOUR CRANKSHAFT SENSOR) as it is not reccomended to be replaced unless it is by someone who is not really familliar with Isuzu.
However (DO REPLACE THE HYDRAULIC TENSIONER) if you dont you will regret it......
There usually arent any problems with one of these having the timing jump the problem is usually a sheared dowel pin in one of the camshafts.

Remove the cam sprockets and check those dowles if one of them has sheared it will make it look like it has jumped timing...
