Does anyone know why...

do do the Japanese kit manufacturer make kits of the most dull and unpopular cars? There are toms of Japanese models from the 80s and 90s, where the Japanese design lost charisma almost completely, while the distinguished designs of the early 70s are hard to find except the Skyline and sport cars, leaving us, the fans of this era, with nothing but terrible NH kits of Doyosha.

Does anyone know why?

Because Japanese kit makers kit models of cars/motorcycles which are largely popular in their home market....not necessarily anywhere else.

Because old-school cars are things of the past and don't sell, except for Skylines, that's why.

There seem to be a market for this era of Japanese cars or how do you explain Fujimi making the RX-3 and ISUZU 117?

You'll have to ask the market research division of Fujimi. Trying to understand the logic behind which kits are and are not produced is a good way to give yourself a headache. :banghead: But it is true that Japanese kit manufacturers are driven specifically by the Japanese hobby market- the Japanese buy the most kits.
