Basically Killer, it means that both of your wheels will spin when the tires start to lose traction, not just one.

You have a open dif. And I have no clue how he popped the hood and could tell just by looking. But no, you dont have a LSD.

Not on all dsms.
If he looked under the rear end of your car and said that he is correct, you do not have an LSD. There should be a plate on the rear diff that says LSD. There also should be a sticker in the drivers side door jam that says "Warning, this vehicle is equiped with a rear viscous coupling LSD..." blah blah blah... basically saying dont jack up one end of the car and try to start it in gear.
Dsms without the sticker in the door jam or on the rear diff usually dont have an LSD in the rear. Which your car probably does not. I have noticed in a lot of early 2g talons that they are not equiped with LSDs.

Holding the diff together?
4 bolt rear end is how many bolts hold the driveshaft onto the rear diff... Earlier 1gs (90-91) have 3 bolt rear ends which means they have 3 bolts that hold the driveshaft to the rear diff.
