NO touchdowns allowed in Soldier Field. That should be a new stadium policy. Ownage!!

Dammit! I knew people would discount a Bears win by saying Shaun Alexander wasn't playing so they weren't full strength.
This is true in theory because no matter what his subpar productivity thus far in the season has been, his presence in the backfield poses a threat. Moreso than Mo Morris. But the way the Bears dominated the game on both sides nullifies that argument. The Seahawks are a VERY capable team even without #37. Remember how they lit NYG up for 42 points last week while he only ran for 47 yards on 20 attempts? Their receiving core is excellent. They average nearly 11 yards per pass. Against the Bears, they managed 5.5
Regardless of the perceived lack of running, they were outmatched. I challenge anyone to pose a valid argument why the Bears aren't the top team in the NFC right now.
Rant over. Sorry but I take my Bears very personally. Be prepared for more of the same when the Bulls take the court November 1

I already knew someone was goin to say things would be different if Sean Alexander was in the game. Like I said before, it wouldn't make a difference if he was playin or not. Bears defense/offense was outstanding tonite.

Bears have the best chance making it to the Superbowl, I'll say this proudly because they barely beat the Vikings, not sure what happened there but that was a damn good game. Then the Vikings lost to Buffalo...wtf? I just wish the Giants could come out a little better on the season but they aren't starting off too bad.

The Vikings game was teh shizz... frustrating, but I was doing backflips at the end. But don't sleep on Buffalo. They're a lot better than people give them credit for. JP Lohsman has finally started to feel comfortable as starting QB and McGahee "is a mothaf*ck!n SOLDIER" :p
I expect the Bears to win this sunday but if Buffalo pulls one out I wouldn't be shocked. I'd just cry a little :frown:

I agree. Buffalo have a good thing goin. JP Losman is still experiance his starter level and hes not doin too bad. He has good RB's to back him up if the passing game isn't goin too well. I still think its too early to say that the Bears are goin all the way. I just dont want to get too excited yet. This weekend Bears 24 Bills 17.

Just goes to show how much Shaun Alexander means to Seattle.
If you think about it, Alexander would have MAYBE gotten them 2 touchdowns based on those goalline plays that ended up being field goals. I also highly doubt that he would have made the difference with those 2 picks and countless sacks. Don't get me wrong, he probably would have been a great player to have for the game, but I don't think he could have helped them avoid defeat.

Indy!?!? They barely beat the Titans today! I don't see them making it out of the first round of the playoffs playing like they are now. Their run game is suffering and their run defense looks horrible right now. Since the Bengals decided to bend over and take it the hard way from New England I guess Baltimore is the strongest AFC team right now. But they're the poor man's version of the Bears imo. Air McNair has the edge in the experience department, but thats about all I'd say they have over us.

But still, the greatest game of the year so far imo. The best MNF comeback since Peyton led the Colts to comeback from 21 down to beat the super bowl champion Buccaneers in overtime in 2003.

Yeah that game last night was sure something!! How about that 83-yard punt return by Devon Hester! Man there were alot of close calls in that game. But who knows what would have happend if Rackers would have nailed that FG, I mean the Bears offense fucking blew last night we all know that considering all of there points came from the defense. So if they would have got that FG and then the Bears had to bring there offense back out........it might not have gone good.
But who cares all that matters is that we fucking WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who could've forget that. Mike Brown was on fire that season. Thats the same season when most sports anaylyst say the Bears are lucky. And I'm starting to hear that again after the Cardinals game. Rex Grossman wasn't himself yesterday and we all saw that. He acted like it was his first NFL game. Matt Lienart was on top of Grossman. He kept his cool. I know Rex is goin to feel sick after he watches his video from last night. Rex needs to learn how to throw the ball away.
Did anyone see Dennis Green lose his cool? He never fails to amuse me ever since his days with the Vikings. He doesn't think the Bears are a great team. What a sore loser. Give them credit when credit is do. The Bears defense in the second half was furious! If they would've played like that in the first half, Cardinals would only have 6 points (2 field goals). I for one am not worried about the Bears offense. It was one bad game for Rex Grossman. Everyone goes through it, even the greats and hall of famers.

WOW! I must say I am very very impressed with Chicago. No, this time i'm really impressed. Why? First, we proved about 97% of the sports analyst WRONG! Second, we shut Plaxico Buress's mouth! Talkin shit about the Bears DBs. We sent him back to the locker room with his tail tucked between his legs. That SOB. Bears Defense was a bit shakey, Grossman had us worried in the first half but he came through. Bears defense also came through with 3 turnovers. One interception by Chris Harris and Peanut, a forced fumble by Alex Brown definitely gave the Bears momentum up. Glad that Mark Bradley was back. People forgot how much of a threat he really is. I KNEW he was goin to have a good game today. Moose came up big..had I think one dropped pass. Nothing to worry about right there. Robbie Gould continues his perfect streak.
The defense needs to be tweaked a little. They NEED to stop the run better. I think right now, thats our main concern. I mean Tiki Barber had a huge game against the number one defense. Notice I didn't say great defense because I honestly dont think they're that great when they allowed back to back 100 plus allowed rushing yards. Also, is it me or does Grossman seems inconsistant? Lovie Smith needs to do something about Rex playing well under pressure. If that problem is solved, Rex will not only be consistant but a very threatening QB to the opponents. First quarter got me screaming for Brian Griese to come in! Nonetheless it was a great game!

I would've been okay even if the Bears lost last night somehow. Obviously I'm much happier they won, but they played with balls last night. They didn't get slapped around like bitches (disregarding the first 28 minutes). But 2nd half was a different team that put up a fight.

2006 opponents collective record: 22-41
Yep, they are a super team
Yup, and I'm sure that they picked that schedule and told those teams to play like shit. Im also absolutely positive that they are shaking in their boots about playing teams like the Gian...oh...wait.
Nevermind.
I see arguments like this all over the ESPN message board and frankly, it's getting rather old.
"Bears have a weak schedule! Their opponants have blah blah for a record! They haven't played anyone!"
What can anyone do about that? Seriously. If you're complaining about the media hype of the team, I can understand where you're coming from, because hyping a team, even my favorite team, is annoying. However, if the only excuse you can make for the team doing so well is because of their schedule, save it.
Yes, they have had an easy schedule, but it's not like they were going to go into those games and say "oh, well, they suck, so lets take it easy on them." They went in and played hard and won big. Along the way they've experienced hiccups that have *hopefully* shown the team areas in which they need to improve: pass protection, ball protection, penalty avoidance, etc. They have been doing better in different areas, which is what counts.
I'm sorry, Tim, if this seems like I'm trying to kick you in the ass, because I'm not. You are teh c00l. I just don't like the argument that I keep seeing over and over and over and over and over that points to a weak schedule.
GO BEARS!

J_swigz pretty much said it. Easy schedule or not, a losing record team can beat the best team. We've all seen upsets this year. Everyone expected the Jets to lose against the Pats, Falcons over Browns etc... and look what teams came out with a victory! Dolphins aren't the worse team even though they have an awful record, they still manage to beat a great team like the Bears.

Bingo.
I hate fairweather fans, and thats what 75% of Bears fans are. Never heard anything tell, o my goodness they won?
But wheres the parades and parties and confidence in the team that is STILL UNDEFEATED.
Who has an offense that has actually defeated teams with very powerful defenses?
Wouldnt mind seeing Grossman take on Manning. HAHA:rofl:
GO BRONCOS!!

I beg to differ. Maybe you see those fake fans elsewhere, but here in the city we don't flip flop. Chicago is a Bears city and always has been. There's just no reason to boast about a 3-13 team to other people.
Now I'm 100% some fair weather fans exist in Beardom, but not as many as there are for the Bulls or Sox fans.. or even Cubs fans. But I know I see things differently cuz I live here and I can spot a fake fan from a real one.
As for this fan here, I was watching when we had Craig Krinzle, Kordell Stewart, Cade McNown, Curtis Enis... all the Bears I'd like to forget :shakehead
I'm a glutton for punishment. Hence, my aliegance to the Cubbies
