2001 sport trac PCV????

Trying to locate PCV Valve for my "2001 Sport Trac"! Have Haynes book with it telling me 2 different places. I've replaced several of these before and never been this frustrated. :banghead: My father is rolling in his grave! Also having trouble reaching my plugs due to the AC components. Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!:confused:

I'm not sure on the PCV valve. I'll have to check my service manual for that one. As for the spark plugs, I found on my 2000 Mountaineer (V-8) that the plugs are quite easy to replace on either side by jacking the front up to get the weight off the suspension, removing the rubber splash shield over the suspension arm, and going at them from above the upper control arm. I would suspect your Sport Trac would be very similar.

Hmmm, I checked my service manual and don't find a PCV valve called out. There is a general section describing the PCV, it mentions the PCV is part of the evaporative emission system. However, when I go to the EVAP system, no mention is made of a PCV.

Maybe the Explorer is like the V-8 Lincoln LS (and I have no idea how many other cars) that does not use a PCV.
