abs light on, speedometer not working, not shifting

i have a 98 chevy blazer. abs light is on speedometer sometimes works , sometimes does not. truck doesnt shift out of first gear. sometimes the speedometer will just pop on while driving abs light goes off and truck drives fine. pulled out fuse to abs still have same problem. help!!! check wheel speed sensors all connections are good .

You may have checked the connections, but did you check to make sure that the wheel speed sensor is functioning properly?

Sounds like a VSS sensor (vehicle speed sensor) going bad, or loose connection. It will usually give you the problems you exactly describe.
