Just won off ebay some new(ish) 98-02 calipers that are painted red and black, they also came with the spindles that I need so I can swap out my 93-97 single piston calipers, and it all only cost me $150 with no shipping. The guy ended up living in the same city as me. I can't believe how light these things are compared to the ones I have now.
The spindles were all rusted and nasty looking, so I cleaned them up, primered them and painted them with some of that engine enamel paint. Suckers look alot better now. Can't wait to get the swap done. I've been waiting to come across a good deal on the front calipers that come with the spindles, since I've already had all the rear disc parts to replace my rear drums. Now I got the whole set, just gotta paint the rear calipers to match the fronts.

I've also since bought the 93-97 Trans Am/Formula tail lights, so I can get rid of my blackouts (never felt safe with those things on at night and my stockers were fugly). I actually like these better than the honeycomb lights, you just don't come across them much. And I was kind of wanting to stay "true" to the body style.

And I went and bought some new fog lights. They were hard to find, I didn't want any wal-mart knockoffs, I wanted the stock ones that actually came with the back plate that fits in the bumper where the rubber pieces originally were. They're pretty cool, and help alot at night.

Nice finds. But I love the look of blackouts, can't believe you took yours off.
And my car needs foglights too, but I don't know what mounting hardware I need. I think all it has are the mounting brackets, no screws or anything. Where did you get your stuff from and how did you install everything?

I found the fogs on ebay (where I buy everything). Hawksthirdgen.org has a store on there that they sell some stuff on, here's a link to their ID on there. camarohawk (http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZcamarohawk).
I'm sure they can dig up something for you. Mine came with all the mounting brackets and everything, it was just missing 2 screws which I just went up to Advance auto parts and paid $2 for.
I liked the blackouts too during the day, but I dont know, I just get paranoid having them on at night. I always found myself looking back to see if a cop was behind me. It just took the joy out of driving.

can't the 3.4's make good power with a diffrent intake manifold? i here the stock intake system sucks that is why they are not as good as the 3.8's.

Yeah they can. It's actually the intake manifold, and the heads that mainly kill it. What some guys do is find the parts off of a 2000+ grand am gt with the 3400 and swap out the inatake and heads off that. It's just really involved work and there are a lot of nick nacks you have to work around. It's not worth the money though IMO. There's a guy on another forum that did the swap and he's only pushin 184 rwhp and 212 rwtq. Yeah it's a significant gain from the stock/bolt on numbers, but I just don't think I'm going to go too in depth with mods on mine. One reason is because after you do that swap, you're going to need a nice tune to go along with it, but which of course you can't get a tune with these engines. So you'll never see the numbers you are shooting for. Eventually after college and all I think I'm going to do an LT1 swap and just keep my car as a daily driver. I've already pust alot of money into my car as it is, so there's no way I'm going to trade it in for a Formula or Trans Am.

ya i see your point. thanx for that info, did not know that about the 3.4's. my dad has on on a 95 camaro and they are not to bad, i think they would make a great daily driver for gas wise.

Yeah, I deliver pizzas in mine right now. get about 23 mpg. not that bad for an 11 y/o car.
