Sounds like its coming from the area around the serpintine belt, only does it at idle in park or drive, when i give it gas it runs perfect and no rattle. Im getting no error codes from the comp. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Check the belt tensioner first. If there is no noise there you may have a problem with the harmonic balancer on the front of the engine. There is a rubber separator between the outer and inner ring. If they go bad they will rattle. The only way to fix it is to change it. I would put my money on the tensioner.

Thanks, I searched another forum, T-type buicks, and came up with harmonic balancer/crank pulley too , but i think the tensioner deserves a look as well and would be easier to fix.:smokin:
