2002 cav. anti lock break reset

I was buying a second set of front pads for my 2002 cav. The counter person at auto zone said that I would need to reset the anti lock system because there would be drag on the pads. It makes sense to me because the car has 38000K and I don’t think that it should have eaten 2 sets of pads. Does anyone know how to do this or if it needs to be done at all?

If the ABS warning lamp does not remain on after the engine has started, and does not turn on while driving, there is no need to do anything. If the lam remains on, you''ll need to scan the ABS module for the stored error code(s) and address whatever issues are indicated.

Auto zone parts people are not trainedtechs/mechaics.
There is no reset deal on ABS when changing brake pads.
But I would avise to use the best OEM type brake pads you can get.
And also make sure the rear shoes/pads are adjusted up good.
Are you pads wearing even? And rotors in good shape.
And lube the slider pins good.
