my interior dimmer light know does not work. My main panel does not dim at all when I turn the knob. is there a fuse for that? How do I fix that?

Since the lights are working, I would suspect the reostat has failed. You can use a meter to measure the resistance as you adjust the switch.
Does your dimmer switch have a knob or a wheel to adjust the illumination. If it has a knob, pull the knob off, remove the nut securing it to the dash, and remove the switch from behind. May have to remove a panel to get access to the switch.

it is a wheel that turns left/right. i don't have a meter. i can pull this wheel off and there will be a nut for to unscrew? let's assume this "reostat" is bad.....is this part behind the nut? sorry but i am new to this "reostat". Thanks

The reostat is an integrated part of the switch.
