I want to replace the fuel filter on my '89 Lebaron - I already have the part. Where is the fuel filter on this model and how tough is it to replace?

As per the Haynes manual..
Depends on the engine..
Carburetted
On a 2.2ltr engine the filter is located at the back left side of the engine tween the fuel pump and the carb.. slide back the clamps disconnect the hoses and remove the unit.
On a 2.6ltr engine the filter is mounted near the carb same as above but may have to remove the mounting bracket as well.
EFI engines
1st depressurize the system by loosening the filler cap.. unplug the electrical connector from the injector.. use a jumper wire to ground #1 terminal.. use jumper wire from #2 terminal to the pos(+)side of the battery which will open the injector and depressurize the system you can hear the fuel spritzing into the throttle body.. when it stops the system is depressurized..
The fuel filter is located near the fuel tank on the right side of the car.. detach hoses.. remove the bracket holding bolt and remove filter from car.. you might want to wrap rags around the filter and your arms to catch residual fuel that might spill..
check and replace hoses and/or lines if they are damaged..
Replace filter is reverse of removal.. start engine and check for leaks
Good luck m8 :smokin:
PS.. NO SMOKING :nono: WHEN DOIN THE JOB.. for twill make a sooty mess of yer car.. :grinyes:
Ive not done it on this model so if someone has a better way.. your input would be welcome..
