Everlast0404 Vs. Musashi

So last night I went out to hang with some guys from SSP. Its a local muscle car club. Usually you see Vettes, F-bodies, alot of GTOs and Chargers, ZO6s and even a couple of Ford GTs. well this is where I first met Everlast. he had a Golf GTI and had just bought a GTO. sick thing is the GTI is faster..well maybe! all I know is we get on the highway to go eat with the whole club. (picture it okay, 8:30 p.m. and a bunch of muscle cars racing through the highway at 100mph over, its a sight to behold) and Everlast decides to get on my ass and follow me close.
I know the GTI is no slouch, its got over 270whp and that turbo pumps quick. soon as a break in traffic occours he punches it out from behind me and cuts right to overtake me. I was in 3rd at about 70 mph so I keep it in gear and take off. He blows past me and no matter how hard I punch it I cant real him in. we where at a stalemate for about a mile and reached over 120 with him a car ahead and me not able to real him in. It was a sick run, that GTI has had my respect since I first saw it and now, well now I want one.

Nice run man. But that stalemate shouldn't mean you want a GTI, it should mean you want a supercharger :grinyes:

Good run. I'm surprised he beat you with your new mods. That must be one stout GTI. What does it run in the 1/4 mile?

I have no clue what it runs, I dont know if its consequential though. I mean my 3000GT was a mid 15 sec car but on the high way (due to gears and drag coeff.) it hung with cars that regularly would blow it away. I used to hang inch for inch with 350Zs and Mustang GTs, even took one one time!

Turboed cars pull through thier revs alot faster then N/As too.
All I know is that GTI is a beast. Im gonna ask him for some vids.

:rofl: That's alot of ponies. When you hit the track you'll see it with your trap speed. You will have alot more issues with traction though.

Well they do feel like alot more then just 30 on the butt dyno. Well see as soon as I get some money for the track.
I spend 35 bucks to get into the track and 40 in gas. so every track trip is 75 bucks! :shakehead

didnt say it was all show, just said more for show so I doubt the GTI would ever go on to an autocross course, But it's a very nice looking and impressive GTI, i've seen it myself.

Niether do we bro! we cant even claim we race anymore at those events. We are technically not racers anymore.

Pretty damn nice cars there Everlast. Took a look at em in your sig. I would have to say that is one damn nice GTI. I wouldn't call it more show than that at all. If it has the potential to hold off Musashi's GTO (which ain't so hard) it has my eyebrows raised.

Although, your GTO is pretty spiffy on its own, as well (black is my general color choice for my cars, too). I bet you can drive one a hell of a lot better than Mushman, can't you? :lol:

thats what I did with the mufflers but I think the long tubes will be to much of a diff...

( I ask her the same day and she said :nono: )

I'll probably need to get her another dog so she can let me have the long tubes.... lolololololo
