Free 06 Mustang GT or your car?

Which would you chose if you had a choice between your car and a free 06 (GT) mustang?
Oh and selling it for a another car is not an option........

Ill start......Im 99% sure I would keep my car.......but thats just me.

Sorry guys, but if I could get a brand spankin' new GT for FREE, I would definately go with the GT. My car has some mileage on it, so I think it would be a good investment on my part. But I would still love f-bodies forever.

A part of me would say yes.....but with the stuff done to mine and with no problems, and it looking if you dont mind me saying.....frekin sweet Id keep mine. I have one of the only nice thirdgens where I live and I like that original look. With the new GT's out everyone who mods them does the same thing, dont get me wrong they look nice, but nothing original. Thats my reasoning essay.......

if we're talking about my golf (which i don't actually own), then no. i'd keep the golf any day.

if we're talking about my (nonexistant) car, then yes, i'd take the mustang.

I'd take a free '06 GT over my Camaro any day.

I'll stay with my overheating Camaro over a stang.. cause I dont like Ford.. just that.

if i actually owned the golf, and i was offered a new 'stang GT i'd turn it dow. in all honesty i would, because i like the golf more.

but in my current situation, without a car i'd not hesitate to accept.

I have like double the horses, a 800 Watt stereo system with subs in the trunk, the hood I wanted and solid chasis (thanks to stb and sfc), I would no way in hell trade in the Formula to have to start from scratch on another car. I love mustangs though and plan on buying a old one cause I can't afford a new one right now but if this question was posed to me a while ago before all the work was done. I would have probably said stang,..

You're so full of shit. IF someone REALLY offered you a brand new FREE C6 Z06 and you give up the maro, you would definately take the Z06. Don't try to play like the maro is EVERYTHING to you in this situation. Don't be ashamed, I'd take a new, no miles GT over my old Z. But that situation would never happen, so I'm not worried.

I've owned Fucking On Road Disasters (FORD's) before and they can keep their mustang. At 21+ years old my car is 99% new again, I know every nut and bolt on it, I know how it should act and what to do when it isn't right...and it now pushes over 400 HP...so a new mustang is outta the question.
Now a new Z-06.......Do I get my choice of colors?

If you take random opinions so seriously you are going to give yourself a ulcer :lol: . Some people like Chevy, some people don't , some people like Ford and some people don't. You are not on a mission to convert every stang hater, no one is. I don't like certain products and manufactors because of past experience. This is just my opinion on them, by no means fact and everyone is entitled to like or dislike anything they want.

Because thats how it is.. some people dont like religions, others dont like ethnicities.. I and some others dont like Ford/Dodge or none GM.

I would like a viper sitting in my drive way. If someone offered me a 06 or 07 GT stang I would give up the grand am.

I'm rather fond of my thirdgen so I would keep it. If I did take the new GT, I assume it wouldn't have any problems and how boring would that be? Plus I think my LT1 could give any new GT a run for it's money :grinyes:

i understand some but most people f-body guys dont.. i talk on LS1.com sometimes or vette forums.. damn there are a lot of haters.. first of all i dont care but i would really wanna know why... cuz they are cool and they are jealous or they are junk ? so far looks like this stang is not junk..

It's because the Ford Mustang of today is more driveable then the F-body, which is more performance oriented. Right now no f-body is being made so the mustang guys talk about us being...obsolete. If you like your car, more power to ya. We have our reasons. I have reasons to hate chevy but that's another story.................damn car

It goes both ways...the GM guys rip the Mustang GT's because they are finally catching up in performance. Back in 1998 your base LS1 car would kill a base Mustang GT.

thats right.. LS1 is faster.. but that doesnt mean you have to hate stangs or forget stangs any other muscle car..this is my opinion.. i love LS1s or any other f-bodies.. you know that and i still pruchase posters, model kits or any other thing about f-bodies and put them in my office!

Too much blood sweat and hard work into my car, no stang for me.

i don't hate the mustangs that much either, it is just that there is WAY to manny of them. And most of them are little EDIT driving v6's.

Everyone has reasons for not liking cars. I like all kinds of cars. My first car was a 1990 ford Taurus SHO. That was one hell of a nice car for a 16 year old to have. A friend of mine is getting a 1990 300zx on thursday with twin turbos. I will post pics when he gets it. So for people to say they hate mustangs that is their own opinion and don't need to explain it. It might be just the way they were brough up. This thread to me is kinda useless. Even though its in the off-topic...

This is a F-body forum, therefor we don't have to like stangs just like they don't have to like F-bodys or LS1's or LT1's or TPI's. We don't have to like how they look , how they sound or even think they are potential of being fast. Sure some of us like myself may feel the complete opposite of that but when a question like this is asked did you really expect all F-body owner/enthusiasts to lap at Fords balls saying ooh ooooh mustang please :rolleyes:. Its a nice car to me and its quick but its not for everyone and no car is.
