Hi everybody.
Here I post some pictures of the Ferrari Mythos by Pininfarina (1/24), a "barchetta" prototype based on Testarossaīs running gear. This car debuted on the `89 Tokyo Motor Show.
The kit is quite simple. It has the engine of course , and few parts more really. It can be opened the rear engine lid with proper hinges and also has that auto-adhesive photo-edged parts typical of Tamiya.the aspect in general is quite attractive. One thing that the kit lacks of is the seatbelts, That I made my self. The headrest have to be a little bit filled and sanded and the clear covers of the front lights are a bit tricky to glue.ITīs better to paint their edges red before doing that.
A cool thing is that the spoiler can be raised or stay low.Wheels also turn. The rims are pretty to me.
Well regards to all.

Hi snowboarder. Yes, the Mythos itīs a quite nice model to start with.It gots the looks and itīs pretty straight forward to build. Mongram and Revell has also another model of it. May be not so clean and nice.
I miss the fact that not many model makers are into releasing car prototypes. I think Iīll have less than ten: Aerovette , Corvette Indy,StingRay III, Jiotto Caspita , Nissan MID-4 `85 , Nissan MID-4 `87, Dodge Copperhead , Maserati / Italdesign Boomerang and Alfa Romeo O.S.I. Scarabeo 1600, Ford Mustang II Mach1... These are the ones that come to my mind I gotta have some more. Butīs really a niche in the car modelling, that of the prototypes.

Well we have two models about the MID4 prototypes. The first one is from 1985 and debuted in Frankfurt Motor Show with the colour white pearl and being LHD.Then this very same one, with RHD and colored red, was presented a month later in the Tokyo motorshow.
The 1987 version has at least three made.Colours: White , Red MEtallic and medium grey metallic.
The two kits were produced by Fujimi in 1/24 but , the `85 one was also marketed buy Revell Europe /which is the one I have).
The `85 has a simplied engine bay with a one piece block ala `83 Fairlady-Z (from Tamiya) with some hoses over it. The lights can be risen or lowered (closed position) and the wheels trun. As a kit itīs nice , wuite correct. I think that the worst about it are the lack of door windows and shape of some parts like headrests. But itīs recommendable for being a rarity.I ainīt started it yet.
The second one, that of 1987, itīs quite a simple kit.No movable headlights , no engine , no turning wheels.Super simple. ITīs nice though.Hereīs a pic of it of when I did it , ten years ago+/-.I had a little problem pinting the rims, sorry, and the panel lights are super exageratted , but well , I was a rookie.
