Maxima vs. BMW 540i

i was riding around with a buddy, cruising down this three lane highway when i catch a light next to some kid in a 540i 6 speed. so we take off from the light and we both start to get on it a little bit and we cruise up to the next light a little up the road, i give my car a little rev and he returns it, so it's on. the light goes green and we both peel out, i get off the line a little quicker than him and i pull almost a full car length through 1st gear into second, he bangs pretty hard into second and i catch second with a little chirp but pretty smooth and i gain a little more to about one full car length ahead and he stays right there on my ass. then we hit another light and prepare to go at it again. while we're at the light he asks what i have done to the car and i tell him "just the cat-back". he tells me that my cars faster than he expected and says he want to run again, so we both wait for the light to go green, and i'm sitting with my car at about 2000-2200 rpm. when it goes green i drop the clutch and get a pretty nice jump on him. i gain some more through second and i'm about 1.5-2 cars ahead going into third. after that neither one of us gained anymore and we stopped at about 110-120 mph as we come to another light. the road ahead splits so he tells me "nice race, those cars are pretty sick" and i say something along the lines of "thanks, have a good night" and he splits. it's been a long time since i had a good race like that.
