Anybody had any experience trying to build a curent late model AWD syclone out of a 2WD S10/Sonoma truck?

What fulltime 4WD transfer case would you guys use and off of which model vehicle?

It seems prety straight forward to use the front end 4WD differential and spindles from a regular 4WD truck. The transfer case is the only thing I am not sure about.

I'd leave it 2-wheel drive and make it a tire roaster. Where'd you find a syclone/typhoon engine? I had a lead on one for $500, but it went quick..

I wasn't thinking of using an actual sy/ty v6.....I was thinking more along the lines of an LS1 or LS2 V8. Hooked to an auto tranny or 6spd and an AWD transfer case. Just curious which model transfer case holds up the best.

I have 2 stock S10 extcab trucks I was going to mess with and since I can't really afford an AWD Trailblazer SS I thought I might try building a Syclone sleeper out of one or both of my trucks.

I also have 99 Tahoe z56 project on the burner too.......she wants to go fast....I can feel it.
